How to Perform a Front Punch:
-
Stance & Positioning: Start in a balanced fighting stance with your feet shoulder-width apart. Keep your hands up in a guard position to protect your face.
-
Engagement: Rotate your shoulder slightly forward and extend your lead arm straight ahead. The punch should be a direct, linear movement.
-
Hip & Body Mechanics: Power comes from your core. Slightly rotate your hips and shoulders into the punch while keeping your rear hand up for defense.
-
Impact & Retraction: The fist should strike with the front two knuckles, wrist straight. Immediately pull your hand back to the guard position after impact.
-
Breathing & Precision: Exhale sharply as you strike to engage core muscles and increase speed.
