How to Perform a Connected Knee Strike
-
Establish Control: Secure a grip on your opponent, such as a double collar tie (Muay Thai clinch) or an arm control grip.
-
Balance & Positioning: Keep your stance strong, with feet shoulder-width apart, ensuring stability.
-
Chambering the Knee: Lift your knee sharply toward your chest while maintaining control of your opponent.
-
Hip Drive & Impact: Thrust your hips forward while extending your knee in a straight motion, aiming for the solar plexus, ribs, or abdomen.
-
Follow-Through & Recovery: After impact, either retract your leg for another strike or transition into another technique, such as a sweep or elbow strike.
This technique is highly effective in close combat, allowing for repeated strikes while controlling the opponent’s movement.
